The History Of The Gators On The Internet
Back in my 13-15 years, my friends and I often created personal websites for our friends to look at. When I was 14, I thought to create a website based on the Pinegate Swim Team. At first is was meant to be a fun site for the kids of the PGST and I, but partway through the season, head coach Kristen Prijatel approached me and was wondering if I could help contribute to a website that she had been setting up. That project ended up not happening, but eventually I decided to pursue creating a website for the PGST. When I was 15, this became a reality, as http://www.pgst.freeservers.com was launched. This website was the internet home of the Pinegate Swim Team for four years, and it received a total of over 3,000 hits. In the spring of 2007, I moved the Pinegate Swim Team website to a new location, http://www.gogators.faithweb.com. Using the same hosting package as before, I gave the site a newer and more professional look and feel. In just a year, the site has reaceived over 2,000 hits.
